In 1999, Zimmer Real Estate Services was selected by the Unified Government of Wyandotte County and Kansas City, Kansas to act as the Master Developer for Village West, a 400-acre tourism, retail, and entertainment district.  Zimmer has represented the Unified Government’s interests throughout the planning, development, contract negotiations and management of the District.

In 1997, Zimmer was chosen by Sprint (now Sprint Nextel) to act as its Owner’s Representative in the development of the 200-acre, 4 million square foot World Headquarters Campus with over 14,000 parking spaces in 14 parking structures.

The ECOWORKS project was completed in 2002 and was the first privately developed commercial project in the metropolitan Kansas City area certified under the LEED® green building rating system, which is sponsored by the U.S. Green Building Council.

Zimmer began consulting with the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City in 2000 as the Bank began considering options for expanding their existing facility or building a new facility to meet their need for more space.  When the decision was made to build a new facility, Zimmer assembled a 15-acre site near Crown Center which met the Bank’s requirements for  location, cost, and security setback requirements.

In 2007, The Port Authority of Kansas City acquired a 1,400-acre site on a grant from the city of Kansas City. The site was a former military air base and was to be simultaneously conveyed to CenterPoint Properties for the development of an intermodal center and industrial park.

Zimmer managed the development for the NABC on this $24 million facility honoring basketball coaches, players, and contributors, and celebrating the sport of college basketball.  

This 94,000 square foot office building is home to the Kansas City based candy giant, Russell Stover Candies. The headquarters location demands property management expertise in building systems, effective budgeting and cost control and superior customer service.

For more than fifty years, Zimmer has assisted Hallmark Cards, Incorporated and Hallmark subsidiaries with its real estate projects in Kansas City, Missouri as well as in 39 states and in China, Spain, Italy and London. Hallmark owns and leases more than 200 office and industrial buildings.
